About iRemember

iRemember began with a simple, heartfelt curiosity: What makes a good life? Who are the special people in our lives? What shaped them? What were they like as children? What led them down certain paths? Through understanding the lives of those who came before us - those who raised us - we come to understand ourselves more deeply.

The idea first sparked when our founder, Tania Rose, read The Top Five Regrets of the Dying by Bronnie Ware. Moved by Bronnie's stories of connection with elders in their final days, Tania realised how little she knew about her own parents' and grandparents' lives. Inspired, she co-founded a small business called Tales to Treasure, where she and a friend would interview clients over multiple sittings, transcribe their stories, gather photos, and manually design beautiful memoir books. The results were powerful - often bringing tears, always bringing insight.

But the time and care poured into each book made it difficult to charge what the service truly cost. It was a priceless product, yet out of reach for many. In 2014, Tales to Treasure was wrapped up.

Still, the idea lingered. Tania wondered: Could this be done differently? Could it be more accessible, without losing the personal touch? During a meditation, the vision for iRemember came to her - an app where people could record their stories, upload photos, choose a layout, edit their book, send it off to print and receive their priceless memoir delivered to their home.

Sharing the idea with a friend led Tania to a connection with Vince Leat and Tobias Abdon, whose bring expertise in technology and business. Vince and Toby were excited to help bring the vision to life. Together, they began building iRemember.

Now, iRemember is being designed to make capturing life stories easy, intuitive, and shareable. Whether you sit with a loved one and record their stories together, or they go at their own pace using guided questions and photo prompts, the goal is the same: to preserve voices and share legacies.
